Hon. Kennedy Asafo-Adjei, commonly known as Ken, is a Ghanaian who emigrated to the United States 30 years ago. He is a public servant, a media practitioner, an ardent community organizer, and a human rights advocate.  Professionally, Ken has served as a state employee with the Department of Developmental Services for 27 years. 

In the State of Massachusetts, Ken is known for his tremendous contribution to the city of Worcester and its environs having served as a one-term member of the Worcester Citizens Advisory Council for District 2 and three terms for District 3 respectively. He is currently a member of the Massachusetts African Council, a member of the Worcester Immigrants and Refugees Coalition, a board member of Akwaaba Clinic, a member of African Bridge Network. He is currently serving as a member of the Massachusetts Organization of African Descendants.

He contributed immensely in the media space having served as a producer, director, and editor at Worcester Cable Access TV (WCCA-TV-13 / 194). He is the producer of the award-winning program sing-along, a program that celebrates Ghanaian and African music culture on this network. He also played a role in the establishment of Ghanaian radio stations in Worcester. 

Ken has dedicated his life to mobilizing the people in the community having organized several town hall meetings and community events that brought residents and leaders together. 

Ken holds a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southern New Hampshire University. He also holds an Associate of Applied Business in Business Management and Associate of Applied Science in Healthcare Administration both from Eastern Gateway Community College. 

He recently lost his beloved wife, the late Theresa Asafo-Adjei. He is a father to Andrew Asafo-Adjei.
